Peterborough Counselling Service offers volunteer opportunities to trained and trainee volunteer counsellors. We place volunteers within schools and agencies to support the emotional wellbeing of individuals. 

Our volunteer placements are available across Cambridgeshire and London. Our volunteers will be committing to a minimum of three hours on a regular day each week. There is a minimum commitment of one year for continuity.  

We offer free Induction, Assessment and Child Protection Training alongside our volunteer placements. 

Group supervision for our volunteer counsellors is offered free in groups of 4-6, for two hours per month. Group supervision is to run alongside one-to-one supervision.

All applicant volunteers are subject to an enhanced DBS check and must hold their own professional liability insurance.
